Many Lunches of Halloween Past!

Tomorrow is Halloween! Yay! Tonight the kiddos in our neighborhood are Trick-or-Treating and they will soon be bouncing around full of sugar. We're handing out Comic Books this year because we think they're awesome and a great alternative to allergy kiddos. Woo! It's not too late to add in a little Halloween lunch! Here's a round-up of Halloween Past........

Matkins Review and Giveaway!

Hey all! We were given the opportunity to review Makins and giveaway one too! Matkins are basically portable placemats with a little napkin holder inside.

We got the adorable Neapolitan design to try out which was a big hit. We took ours out for a run at the park. The Matkins are really nice if you're out somewhere and would like a placemat. I think they would be especially great for those with little kids. When Kidlet was small I always carried around throwaway placemats for restaurants and parks. Having a reusable option is fantastic! Perfect baby shower gift as well!

The only thing I didn't care for is the napkin that comes with it. The material is odd feeling to us but the holder is spacious enough to hold one of our own napkins so it's no big deal!

Matkins fit easily inside any lunchbox, purse, or bag of any kind.

Kidlet loved trying out our Matkin! We had a great picnic lunch!

Now it's your turn to get a Matkin of your very own! You can choose from any pattern on their site!

CuteZCute CuddlePalz and Silk Coconut Almond Milk!

We're finally getting in the back to school swing around here! We got a bit of a late start because this year Kidlet is doing online/homeschool and it took a LOT of paperwork to enroll and un-enroll. Whew. Glad that we're finally settling in to a rhythm around here. I think it's going to be a great year!

Today I made the boy a little CuteZCute CuddlePalz sandwich! This is one of my favorite new tools and the boy loves it too! So many cute possibilities in one set! I paired it with salad and strawberries.

I paired the bento lunch with some delicious Silk Almond Coconut Blend. We got to try this courtesy of BzzAgent. The kid loved it! It went perfectly with his sandwich and sides! And I love that it's a healthier alternative to cow's milk.  #GotItFree

Vans Natural Foods Lunches

So about a million years ago.....okay many months but I can't recall how many and it feels like forever.....I received a package from Van's Natural Foods full of scrumptious noms to try out. I'm finally getting around to blogging about it as I've just remembered I was supposed to. Oops. *shameface*

Here are some of the goodies we got to try out. Just looking at them again makes me feel hungry. So yum!

Kidlet has Vans French Toast Sticks, syrup, strawberries, and milk in a ball jar with a Cuppow lid.

Kidlet gave the French Toast Sticks a HUGE thumbs up! He loved them and the box was gone in no time. Having a teen is like having a human vaccuum that is never satiated.

In our Lunchbots Trio Kidlet had a Vans Chocolate Chip bar, pickles, strawberries, and grapes.

The Chocolate Chip Bar gets a rousing round of applause from both of us! We were fighting over them they were so good!

I used the Pancakes as a sandwich with delicious Nutella spread in the middle and a heart cut out. Along side in our Planetbox Shuttle are strawberries and blackberries.

Four thumbs up on the pancakes! We both loved how fluffy and tasty they were!

Pride Festival Lunches

Last month Kidlet and I met a bunch of our friends for the Pride Parade and Festival featuring George Takei as the Grand Marshal of the parade! That made our little geek hearts so happy! We were there all day so of course we needed some easy and tasty lunches to take along!

I packed easy lunches in our Easylunchboxes! The Main Compartment holds two sandwiches, one turkey and one ham. The Larger Side Compartment holds two colors of grapes and the Smaller Side Compartment holds pasta salad. Nothing fancy just something quick to nosh on in between all the fun!

So many pretty ELB colors stacked up together! I just love seeing them like this!

Lunch in the park with a fun flag we got during the parade! Yum!
