May the Fourth 2015

Happy Star Wars day everyone! May the Fourth be with you! I didn't get a chance to make Kidlet a fun lunch but managed to fancy up her dinner a little bit!

Main Compartment: Fajita bowl : rice, fajita steak, sour cream, cheese, quacamole, cheese, salsa, and lettuce topped with a Death Star and Millenium Falcom made from tortilla.

Check out more Star Wars lunches I have made over the years by clicking on the picture above! We've been nerding it up for a long time now!

Easy Easter Lunches 2015

*I was given a $50 gift cert, to Family Christian in exchange for my Easter lunch post. All views, opinions, and pictures are my own. *

Easter is nearly here! What better way to celebrate than with some fun  bento lunches! I was inspired by some bible verses and thought our Lunchbox Love notes would fit in perfectly to help with the lunches!

To make things simple I used the same ingredients to make 3 different lunches. You don't need a lot in order to make a fun lunch for your little one.

And if you're still looking for Easter presents for your family check out Family Christian they really do have something for everyone!

The first lunch says "I am with you always" which is a good reminder not just for Easter but for everyday! Jesus is always with us.

The lunches includes a green salad, peanut butter and jelly cross, carrots, and strawberries. Simple and delicious!

The second lunch is a peanut butter egg with a cross cut from an apple. This is to celebrate the fact that Jesus rose from the grave!

The last lunch is a simple cross inside another piece of bread. Simple to make. I think it goes nicely with the quote "All things are possible to him who believes."

Happy Easter Everyone!

You Can't Take the Sky From Me

In lieu of a wrap up of the year post I will start the year off with blogging some lunches that haven't yet made it on to the blog. This is one of my favorites! For those who may not know, Firely is a tv show that ran on fox until it was cancelled ridiculously. It was followed up by a movie Serenity.

All Packed up in our EasyLunchBox there is a sandwich with the Browncoat symbol and a chocolate model Firefly class ship. On the side are grapes and Kaylee's favorite strawberries!

Many Lunches of Halloween Past!

Tomorrow is Halloween! Yay! Tonight the kiddos in our neighborhood are Trick-or-Treating and they will soon be bouncing around full of sugar. We're handing out Comic Books this year because we think they're awesome and a great alternative to allergy kiddos. Woo! It's not too late to add in a little Halloween lunch! Here's a round-up of Halloween Past........

Matkins Review and Giveaway!

Hey all! We were given the opportunity to review Makins and giveaway one too! Matkins are basically portable placemats with a little napkin holder inside.

We got the adorable Neapolitan design to try out which was a big hit. We took ours out for a run at the park. The Matkins are really nice if you're out somewhere and would like a placemat. I think they would be especially great for those with little kids. When Kidlet was small I always carried around throwaway placemats for restaurants and parks. Having a reusable option is fantastic! Perfect baby shower gift as well!

The only thing I didn't care for is the napkin that comes with it. The material is odd feeling to us but the holder is spacious enough to hold one of our own napkins so it's no big deal!

Matkins fit easily inside any lunchbox, purse, or bag of any kind.

Kidlet loved trying out our Matkin! We had a great picnic lunch!

Now it's your turn to get a Matkin of your very own! You can choose from any pattern on their site!

CuteZCute CuddlePalz and Silk Coconut Almond Milk!

We're finally getting in the back to school swing around here! We got a bit of a late start because this year Kidlet is doing online/homeschool and it took a LOT of paperwork to enroll and un-enroll. Whew. Glad that we're finally settling in to a rhythm around here. I think it's going to be a great year!

Today I made the boy a little CuteZCute CuddlePalz sandwich! This is one of my favorite new tools and the boy loves it too! So many cute possibilities in one set! I paired it with salad and strawberries.

I paired the bento lunch with some delicious Silk Almond Coconut Blend. We got to try this courtesy of BzzAgent. The kid loved it! It went perfectly with his sandwich and sides! And I love that it's a healthier alternative to cow's milk.  #GotItFree
