Adventure Time with Finn and Jake
It appears that Kidlet and I have a new Monday night ritual. Normally he goes to be at 8pm. However, on Monday's Kidlet has a piano lesson at 7 which means we do not get home until almost 8. Being the nice mama that I am, I have conceded to watching Adventure Time with Finn and Jake then going to bed after on Mondays. So Tuesdays will probably mean a lot more bento like this lol
I tried something a little different and used 2 pieces of cheese. One for the characters and one for the background. They are both done with food colors and sit on a peanut butter sandwich. On the side are grapes, strawberries, and orange slices.

Wow! How do you create these distinctive "illustrated" effects in your cool bentos, Jenn?
ReplyDeleteYou really do such a good job on your drawings! I'm always so impressed.
ReplyDeleteWe have a night when the girls are allowed to stay up just a bit later...they like to watch cooking shows with me when they can!
Righteous! lol I love this bento! Kidlet is so lucky! Is Kidlet a vegetarian by choice or is it a health reason? I've been pondering switching my diet up a bit...
ReplyDeleteCool scene! You're getting much more detailed!
ReplyDeletebentobird: I just use food coloring markers. this time I made the characters from one cheese, cut them out and laid them on top of the scene :)
ReplyDeleteCourtney : Kidlet is a vegetarian by choice, none of the rest of us are. He is a big animal lover and decided one day that he didn't want to eat meat anymore
Wow! That's so neat, I wish I had that much willpower! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Beautiful artwork- it really looks like a painting! Great job as always Jenn!
ReplyDeleteI love the 2 layers cheese ... can see the dimension there. Wonderful job Jenn!
