I forgot to post this bento from the last week of school. Too much was going on! Kidlet loves gyoza but not cold in his bento lunch so I used my press to make dumpling shaped sandwiches!
Kidlet got three ersatz gyoza made from whole grain oatmeal bread with peanut butter in the middle, checkered apple, green beans, and orange slices.
Yum! That sounds perfect to me. My weird kids don't like peanut butter of all things!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up this week! :o)
What a great idea to use the gyoza mold that way! :D
ReplyDeleteI wondered if I could use bread in gyoza press, I thought it wouldn't work for some reason but I was wrong..sweet!
ReplyDeleteHow very clever! I like this idea. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea! About how much filling did you end up putting in?
ReplyDeleteapplerabbit, not too much filling. I just spread a little over the middle
ReplyDeleteMy girl doesn't like to eat gyoza in her bentos either - she loves how pretty they look in her bento but she won't actually eat them. It's baffling :) I love what you did with the sandwiches, those are great!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn! How are you? Clever idea to use the gyoza mold on your sandwiches. The looks great!
