Charlie the Unicorn: Magical Leopluradon Lunch

I can't believe it's been 2 years since I have made Kidlet a Charlie the Unicorn lunch! The last one I made was Starfish Loves You! Luckily Charlie has been Middle School approved so I have a lot of material I can work with this year. Today's lunch includes the Magical Leopluradon.

Packed in our LunchBots Uno Kidlet has a Magical Leopluradon of cheese and food coloring on top of a Boca Chik'n sandwich. On the side are blackberries, strawberries, peppers, and a container of dressing.

First Day of 6th Grade Bento

Today is Kidlet's first day of 6th grade. Middle School! How did that happen?! As he gets older rules for bento become more strict and I have to think outside the box for things like a first day lunch. No buses, no paper or pencils, no apples.....everything you would easily associate with back to school was out. I did however get the approval for A Very Potter Musical  bento. Works for me!

Kidlet has a soy ham sandwich with cheese letters, bell peppers, strawberries, and checkered apple.

Have a fantastic first day Kidlet! I know Middle School will be full of new and exciting things and I can't wait to hear all about it!

Goldfish Lunches for 3!

Today Kidlet, my mom, and I had to get up really early to help out at a school supply outreach at church. Since it was set to last all afternoon we needed a lunch! We ended up supplying over 350 kids with school supplies and backpacks today! It was awesome :) And Kidlet is an excellent helper!

Kidlet's bento is on the left and has a soy ham sandwich on a Goldfish shaped sandwich thin. On the side are pretzel nuggets, bell peppers, orange segments, and strawberries.

My bento is on the right and has a chicken sandwich on a Goldfish shaped sandwich thin. On the side are cucumbers, pretzel nuggets, and an orange

My mom's bento is on the bottom and has a ham sandwich on a Goldfish shaped sandwich thin. On the side are cucumbers, oranges, and strawberries.

IT Crowd Bento Lunch

Kidlet and I recently discovered The IT Crowd through the miracle that is Netflix. How did we go so long without knowing about this show? It takes place in a company IT basement and it's hilarious! So lunch today includes one of Kidlet's favorite quotes.

Lunch is a soy ham sandwich with cheese letters, strawberries, checkered apple, and bell peppers.

MOMables Subscription Review and Giveaway!

So, when I first heard about MOMables I thought it was kind of silly. I mean, I know how to find my own recipes and make menus and grocery lists. It's just part of what I do. But when I was given an opportunity to try out MOMables I figured, why not? And let me tell you how glad I am that I gave it a chance! MOMables rocks! The recipes are delicious and simple and VERY easy to adapt to our vegetarian eater.

With MOMables you can create a fresh and healthy lunch for your kiddos in under 10 minutes! That's right! Bento makers often get a bad rap because people think packing an awesome lunch must take forever. It doesn't have to! I feel confident that anyone can find 10 minutes in their day to pack a lunch. MOMables makes it just so easy!

Even though the goal is packing a healthy lunch the recipes are good any time of day! I made this delicious breakfast bento for Kidlet using the MOMables Egg Salad recipe! It was a HUGE hit!

MOMables Cheesy Italian Tortellini was so easy and a big hit with the whole family! I left out the meat and increased the mushrooms to accommodate our vegetarian eater and nobody missed the meat at all! Yum!

Want to have access to all of the amazing features that MOMables has to offer?! Well you're in luck! The super fantastic Laura of MOMables is giving one of YOU a 3 month subscription!
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Disclaimer: All opinions etc are mine. I was given a subscription to MOMables in order to review. I'm not being paid for this yo :)

Roadtrip Lunches 2012

Kidlet and I took off last week with my dad for a little family fun road trip! My grandparents live in Boston so we headed their way and made some stops on the way and back for fun. We spent time in NYC and Vermont. To cut down on having to eat out and to keep us on the road longer I packed up some tasty lunches for us in our EasyLunchboxes!

The lunches on the left and the right have ham and cheese croissant sandwiches, apples, grapes, pickles, and carrot sticks. The lunch in the middle is Kidlet's and has a soy ham and cheese croissant, carrots, yellow bell pepper, apples, grapes, and blackberries.

Kidlet enjoyed eating his road trip lunch all cozy under his pillow and blankets in the back seat!

Some pics from our road trip! Top level L-R: Kidlet in NYC and then in front of the Trapp Family Lodge. Middle L-R: Kidlet in NYC, the view from our ferry ride, Kidlet golfing. Bottom L-R: Kidlet on the ferry to VT and Kidlet in the Flavor Graveyard at Ben and Jerry's in VT.
